Dentures and Partials

If missing teeth have dampened your confidence and interfered with your social activities, consider modern dentures to revive the beauty and functionality of your smile. Designed to fit comfortably and look like your natural teeth, dentures can improve your quality of life.

Dr. Smith or Dr. Day may recommend dentures, partial dentures, or implant-supported dentures to rejuvenate your smile. The best prosthesis for your mouth will depend on several factors, including what we see on your X-rays, general health history, current oral health, and personal preferences. Once the dentist determines your treatment plan, we will take impressions of your mouth so that a qualified lab can produce custom dentures that fit well.

A full set of dentures replaces all teeth on the upper or lower arch. Traditional dentures are held in place by adhesives or natural suction. Partial dentures replace one or more teeth on either side of your jaw and attach to remaining teeth with nearly invisible metal clasps.

Some patients choose implant-supported dentures, which attach to a few implant posts placed in the jawbone. Dr. Smith often recommends implant-supported dentures for optimal stability and function, particularly for patients who have problems with slipping or lose dentures.
